    they were running from 60mph (100 kph) the 10S sport hydro, to about 75mph (125kph) for 10S rigger. This was 2 years ago. Today the scale hydro runs a touch over 120kph, 4S riggers a little faster the 6S riggers run 135 and a 10S rigger would be hitting over 140+kph on the oval;

No for any sort of boat but especially RC. A model must be 100% water proof and you still need to remove the shaft and lube any metal parts to prevent them jamming. You also need to ensureit is aired well and the electronics are protected from salt and any moisture.

Can you drive brushless boats in the sea, then hose it off?

google proboat and when you go to their site you can see the different models they sell. Or google aquacraft both are very similar companies

  10. fastelectrics 18. Jul, 2010 at 12:30 pm #

  11. fastelectrics 18. Jul, 2010 at 1:19 pm #

jax this really depnds on whatyour budget is
Delta Force rtr 23″ mono is the cheapestgood boat I am aware of – you need radio and cells (but these are not expensive). Proboat and Aquacraft monos are good to start with.

oohh okay, i have another question. the supervee 27 boat runs two 7.2v batteries, does that mean it runs 14.4v on that one motor?

  18. fastelectrics 18. Jul, 2010 at 4:43 pm #

    More speed needs more watts

So you more both of voltage & amps is the best way to achieve that

If you want to keep the runtime you will also need more mah

  19. mkadawametwa 18. Jul, 2010 at 5:25 pm #

mah is the compacity of the batt you want more volts ^^

  20. analmunkey 18. Jul, 2010 at 5:31 pm #

i believe its voltage becuase thats the amount of power it dishes out. think of Mah as how much it can hold or run time. look this up incase im wrong

  21. biggray94 18. Jul, 2010 at 6:10 pm #

    that makes me want one

  22. DRZ146 18. Jul, 2010 at 6:55 pm #

hey dude, if i want to buy a custom battery to upgrade the boats speed, do i look for higher Mah or higher voltage?

  23. fastelectrics 18. Jul, 2010 at 7:02 pm #

It looks light , in fact it was the heaviest the issue is the angle of attack on the sponsons. It was too steep.

That is a bit like using a too hard pretension on a suspension spring.
It tends to throw the boat about and then it catches more air and it gets out of shape etc

Resolved now runs flat and fast.

  24. 2007tacoma 18. Jul, 2010 at 7:17 pm #

i think the one in last was having weight issues… it was too light

  25. Espresso337 18. Jul, 2010 at 7:23 pm #

and i thought the warmup was fast
